Virtual Worlds

An easy example shows the power of interactivity that is given to the user of an interactive scene: In a video film sequence, the director decides whether an actor moves to the left or to the right, and how the film is made. In an interactive 3D real-time scene, however, the viewer himself decides where to look and move. The viewer also decides how the sequence will progress. This is possible as the 3D rendering software - BS Contact - computes the scenes according to the viewing path up to a 100 times per second depending on the complexity of the scenes.

Speaking of rendering quality of both solutions, it's hard to tell what the difference between an artificial virtual scene and a ready made movie really is. Both can be broadcast quality scenes. Modern standard PCs offer virtual worlds presentations in film quality. However, the 3D scenes, can be reduced to transportation on the Internet at a fraction of the data necessary for a movie with the same quality. The trick is to reduce the 3D data with Internet reduction software, e.g. BS Reducer, so it can be visualized and transported on Internet easily. In addition, content also can be encrypted - BS Encrypt - and is therefore secured against acts of data piracy. In addition, virtual worlds can also be viewed with the advantage of stereoscopic rendering, which opens virtual worlds to the user with a fascinating depth effect.

The areas of interactive visualization are nearly unlimited. This is proven by the steadily growing number of customer solutions as shown in the solution area.
